Come ready to learn, connect, and peruse the beautiful perennials, herbs, and select annual plants that would fit whatever need or desire you have for your garden spaces❤️🌱 We will also have some vegetable starts available!
Enjoy:
• A local coffee truck
Bloom and Brew will be here offering their coffee, teas, and specialty drinks. Isn’t that great? “Where flavor blossoms”…how perfect for our community day! We love helping them GROW their business 🌱❤️
• Special discounts on plants for class participants
Class participants will get 10% off plant purchases.
• Three educational garden classes (choose one or choose all🙌)
9-9:45: Jake Niven will lead “Gardening 101” covering everything from preparing your space to planting properly and maximizing production in your garden beds. He’ll demonstrate different techniques depending on garden size and location, helping beginners and seasoned growers alike feel confident heading into the growing season.
10-10:45: Permaculture and Hugelkulture Principles
Want healthier soil, less watering, and more abundant plants? Join us as Carissa Raney teaches an engaging introduction to permaculture and hugelkultur. We’ll cover the core design principles of permaculture and show you how to build and use hugelkultur beds to naturally improve fertility and water retention. Perfect for gardeners, homesteaders, and anyone interested in regenerative growing practices.
11-11:45: Basics of Tree and Perennial Planting
Planting is more than digging a hole and hoping for the best. In this class, learn how to properly install trees and perennials for long-term health and success. We’ll cover root-bound plants, correcting circling roots, proper planting depth, soil drainage, site selection, and common mistakes that lead to failure. Whether you're adding one tree or redesigning a whole landscape, this class will give you the confidence to plant it right the first time.
One class: $10
Two classes: $20
All three classes: $25
