About this Event
Are you interested in Natural Dyes? Gardening? Community?
At Still Moon's Gardeners' Gatherings, we W**d, water and maintain the Colour Me Local Dye Garden. Volunteers work together to tend the garden and discuss gardening tips and questions.
At many of these gatherings, we bring a dye pot and fabric strips so we can experiment with natural dyeing while we work! At other sessions, you will be able to take home seeds or flowers to transplant into your own garden or balcony.
Exact activities depend on the plants and the weather, which are unpredictable. This session will likely feature: Tidy up the Garden, Sowing Seeds.
Still Moon's Colour Me Local Dye Garden is a community-engaged natural dye garden and art space tended by Still Moon Arts Society volunteers. In the spring the garden comes alive with bright tulips, hyacinth, and elderberry. It will be bumping with crops of Coreopsis Madder, and Indigo over the summer and fall.
Join the Still Moon team for some fun, get your hands dirty, and connect with other gardeners in the community. Play outside with us and take your knowledge to your own garden spaces!
