About this Event
Here's a chance for another great FREE workshop for the local community, this time to learn all about how best to maintain garden tools including how to sharpen tools.
No longer will you have blunt secateurs and useless garden shears, and those other tools will get the TLC they deserve, especially over the winter damper months.
Learn from our experienced instructor Claire Turner who, amongst other things, runs Naturewise Community Forest Garden in Cilgerran, Cardigan. Claire has a wealth of knowledged and will be sharing her years of experience and loads of top tips in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. No experience necessary at all.
You'll be able to bring along some of your own tools to sharpen too or practice on the tools in Erw Dewi / Dewi's Acre, St Davids Community Garden.
The course will take place on Saturday 23rd November and we have two sessions for you to choose from. Simply select the morning or afternoon ticket options when you checkout.
Please note the course will be run in the community garden and using the garden garage which is not heated or insulated. So, wrap up warm, dress in work clothes and sturdy footwear.
Hot drinks and biscuits will be available.
Booking is essential.
Whilst the cost of this course is funded by UK Government though a grant, we encourage all attendees to consider making a small donation, if you possible, to enable EcoDewi to run future courses and project.
Please note that there is no toilet at the venue itself, the community garden. The nearest toilets are inside St Davids Cathedral. If you have any questions about accessibility, please drop us an email.
