Welcome to the Garden Gateway Workshop!
This month’s gathering focuses on caring for crops while preparing for the summer months ahead. Together, we’ll continue cultivating knowledge, sharing food, and strengthening community through hands-on learning.
Gardening Topic – DIY Non-Toxic Pesticides & Plant Food
Learn how to make your own non-toxic pesticide to protect your plants by using simple ingredients from your kitchen. Keep your crops healthy by feeding them homemade plant food using molasses and alfalfa.
Nutrition Topic – Bike Smoothie: Green Smoothies, Chocolate Avocado pudding
Try out our people-powered blender to make a delicious chocolate avocado pudding or a green smoothie made from multiple vegetables.
In order to help us better prepare for accurate numbers of attendees we are asking for a small deposit ($7) to register for the workshop. Once you attend, you will receive a voucher to spend the deposit at the Village Market Place. If the deposit is prohibitive, you may request a waiver by emailing [email protected]. Please note: waiver recipients who are no-shows the day of the workshop will not be eligible to receive a waiver for future workshops.
- Vouchers are redeemable at any time before the final workshop in June 2026.
- They can be used separately, or together.
- Vouchers cannot be replaced.
