About this Event
Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Haywood County have divided their perennials, rooted cuttings, and started plants from seeds for our "Pass-Along Plant Sale". Hundreds of plants will be available at very reasonable prices, including house plants, herbs, natives, perennials, shrubs and more.
Second Hand Treasures will include a wide assortment of gently used garden items, tools, artwork and books.
Saturday, May 16, 830 am - 12 noon.
589 Raccoon Road, Waynesville.
In the past, the sale has been so popular that we had large crowds, long waits and fights for parking spaces. To make for a more pleasurable experience, we are instituting a FREE ticketing system. This pre-registration system will allow us to control the number of people coming at any one time, and allow shoppers a more leisurely experience. We hope you will take the time to discuss your plant choices and questions with our Master Gardener volunteers.
Things to know about the new system:
- 4 time slots: 8:30, 9:15, 10:00 and 10:45.
- 75 tickets per time slot.
- New plants will be added at each time slot.
- Registration is online only. We will send you a link when registration opens on April 16.
- Please try to arrive promptly for your scheduled time. We will try to
accommodate walk-in patrons as time and space permits.
CASH or CHECK only
Proceeds from the plant sale fund Extension-sponsored horticultural projects in Haywood County, including elementary school gardens; demonstration gardens; educational workshops; the Extension Master Gardener program and more.
