Changas Basketball Club is hosting its official debut tournament. We have all been waiting for the big event and we hope to make this the best tournament Dhaka has ever seen. Keeping the Covid factor in mind we expect the participants to be patient with the fluctuation of the date but it is to be confirmed that the tournament will take place. We prioritize the quality of the tournament and we will be maintaining all the Covid guidelines provided by the Government and arrange spectators accordingly.
Men’s Categories
Since Changas is a youth basketball club we will be focusing on the U-23 age group(23 and under). It will be a full court tournament with 8 minutes per quarter and 24 seconds shot clock, with 2 minutes intervals between quarters along with a half time of 8 mins. Teams will have 2 timeouts per quarter and will have a total of 8 time outs. Time outs cannot be carried to the next quarter. Each team will have a 12 man squad.
Age verification-
We will have a rigorous approach on age verification. We want to keep the authenticity of the tournament.
We will take the following steps to verify age
NID Online checking- https://services.nidw.gov.bd/voter_center
Birth Certificate online checking- https://everify.bdris.gov.bd/
Passport- Will be verified in person through Changas Communication Department
No photocopies/Pictures will be accepted.
Women’s Categories
It will be a 5 a side tournament for the women’s category with 8 minutes per quarter and 24 seconds shot clock, with 2 minutes intervals between quarters along with a half time of 8 mins. Teams will have 2 timeouts per quarter and will have a total of 8 time outs. Time outs cannot be carried to the next quarter. Each team will have a 12 man squad
Entry fee: 4500 Taka
We will have 4 officials controlling the shot clock. We will also keep a batch of 6 referees to conduct the tournament smoothly.
Tournament Policies
Any sort of misrepresentation and fraudulent act(ivity) will result in termination of the team participation or elimination of the particular individual.

Teams have to report to the officials 15 mins before the game. Officials will only allow 5 mins of waiting time if a team fails to show up on time and a walk over will take place. No consideration will be taken in the event of a team that fails to show up on time.
Registration
Interested teams may post their team name and contact information.
Invites will also be formally sent to specific teams.
No drugs/smoking allowed.
Covid Guidelines
All the players will have to provide Covid Negative test report
Covid Negative test reports will also be checked online
2) Everyone except for the players on the court playing a game will have to wear a mask.
3) Sanitizers will be available.
We hope to run this tournament to the best of our ability and make it convenient for both the participants and the organizers. Cooperation from the teams is of utmost importance in maintaining and running a smooth and organised tournament.
