About this Event
GameCamp Edmonton's monthly events are open to all professional, indie, hobbyist, student, and aspiring game developers, as well as people who are working in other technology and creative fields and are interested in learning more about the game development industry in Alberta. While GameCamp's main community focus is based in Edmonton, we welcome anyone and everyone who is interested in being a part of our community, even if they're outside of Edmonton!
This month we're welcoming David "Angry Beaver" Gillen (Modder and Professional Technical Artist), who will be sharing his experience and expertise on the benefits of modding—20 years of modding, why he mod, why you should consider it, and how best to make your game modding compatible. Mods are a great way to learn and a great way to increase your games lifespan, so let's dig in.
This event is being hosted at the Stanley Milner Downtown branch of the Edmonton Public Library in Community Room 1 (in the basement)! After the talk, we'll head down and across the street to the for casual mingling, hanging out, and delicious food and drink.
As always, this event is free for anyone and everyone to attend, though please note that space is limited so RSVPs are required.
