About this Event
** Please bring a charged phone and earbuds/AirPods/headphones for the best experience.**
CHSA is using XR to draw attention to sites related to Chinese American history across Northern and Central California. Our in-house platform XR Tour is designed for creators with specialties other than coding: historians, writers, tour guides, et al.
We'll walk through a demo tour made with XR Tour and then head inside for a look at the code-free interface. Our project coordinator will offer some lessons learned about XR storytelling and working with community members. Feedback and Q&A to follow.
XR Tour was developed with support from the National Archives and Records Administration. XR Tour will be made open-source in late 2026.
CHSA is at 965 Clay St, between Stockton and Powell. We are a moderate walk uphill from Union Square and two short blocks from Rose Pak Chinatown MUNI station.
