About this Event

Join us for a groovy, nostalgia-filled evening at the Sanctuary Studio in Santa Ana! Featuring iconic music from classic video games such as The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, F-Zero, and more. Come and listen to a fresh interpretation of your favorite video game music in a jazz context, brought to you by Peter Wikle!

Peter Wikle is a Santa Ana–born trombonist, tubist, composer, arranger, and educator whose career spans New York City’s vibrant music scene and beyond. He has performed with ensembles such as the Mingus Big Band, Bobby Sanabria Multiverse Big Band, and the Metropolis Ensemble, appearing at major festivals including Monterey, North Sea, and Montreal Jazz. His studio work includes sessions at Capitol Studios, Van Gelder Studios, and Power Station at BerkleeNYC. As leader of the NYC-based Rat Trap Pack, he released the debut album Aqua Rat in 2023. Now back in his hometown, Wikle continues to perform, compose, and teach, drawing inspiration from Bach to Ellington to contemporary jazz innovators.
