Game Day "Ace High Spades Tournament" Scholarship Fundraiser

Double Elimination Structure

• Format: Double Elimination (Teams of 2)
• Each team must lose two matches to be eliminated
• Standard Ace High Spades rules apply
• Games played to 7 points (set in advance) every book after 6 is a point.

• Players register as teams of two (partners)
• Each team selects a team name
• Random draw or seeding determines initial matchups

• All teams begin here
• Winning teams advance forward
• Losing teams move to the Losers Bracket

• Teams that lose once continue here
• A second loss results in elimination
• Teams continue advancing until one remains

• Final match is between:
• • Winners Bracket Champion (undefeated)
  • Losers Bracket Champion (1 loss)

Finals Rules:

• If Winners Bracket team wins → they are Tournament Champions
• If Losers Bracket team wins → a “Final Reset Match” is played
• Winner of the reset match becomes Champion

• Standard Ace High Spades gameplay
• First team to reach the 7pts wins
• Reneging results in automatic loss of hand
• Table talk and poor sportsmanship may result in penalties or disqualification

• 4:00 PM – Player Check-In & Registration Confirmation
• 4:45 PM – Rules Briefing & Bracket Assignment
• 5:00 PM – Tournament Begins (Round 1)
• Continuous play until finalists are determined

• 1st Place: Cash + Sponsored Prizes
• 2nd Place: Prize Package

(Up to $1,000 total prize value)

• Tournament Director will resolve disputes
• Players must be present when called or risk forfeiture
• Bracket updates will be posted throughout the event
• House rules may be adjusted for time management if needed

• Side betting tables (optional, not tournament-affiliated)
• Bonus prize for “Most Books” or “Best Comeback”
• 50/50 Raffle drawing during final rounds
