Manuel González is the third and current New Mexico State Poet Laureate, appointed in late 2025 by New Mexico Arts and the New Mexico State Library for a three-year term. A former Albuquerque Poet Laureate (2016–2018), González is a celebrated poet and educator known for focusing on community, justice, and cultural memory.
