The Gallaudet Dance Company is thrilled to present its 70th Spring Dance Concert, Family Reunion: Celebrating 70 Years of Dance. This landmark event is a joyous celebration of the company’s enduring dedication to Deaf accessibility and representation in dance. Audiences will be captivated by an electrifying array of dance genres, from jazz and hip-hop to K-pop, African dance, modern, country, and GDC’s signature fusion of American Sign Language (ASL) and dance. Choreographers presenting new dance works include: Brooke Roberts, Ashley Pigliavento, Tara Miles, Shaunflow Odom, and Nicholaus Nero. The show will feature special guest artists including the Gallaudet Alumni Dancers, Sign of Da’ Times, MotionZ, and Bison with Attitude. Behind the scenes, this production is a testament to the talent and dedication of Gallaudet University’s Theatre students, who are handling everything from light design to stage management and backstage crew. With its rich diversity of talent, styles, and stories, this 70th anniversary is more than a performance - it’s a celebration of dance as a universal language of connection, creativity, and community.
Performance Dates: Friday, March 28th at 10:30 am & 7:30 pm, and Saturday, March 29th at 7:30 pm. *This production runs approximately two (2.0) hours with one (1) intermission.
