Queres experimentar uma fusão entre museu de Biologia e exposição de arte? Então vem connosco visitar a Galeria da Biodiversidade :-)
Situada na Casa Andresen, adjacente ao Jardim Botânico do Porto, a GB é um projecto conjunto do Museu de História Natural e Ciência da Universidade do Porto e a Agência Ciência Viva. Inaugurada em 2017, a Galeria foi organizada pelo museólogo Jorge Wagensberg, que dispôs cada peça como uma instalação de arte que ilustra a biodiversidade. Não falta sequer o esqueleto montado da Baleia a que Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen se referiu, premonitoriamente, no conto “Saga”, em 1984.

Às 10:30 de 11 de Junho, perto da Galeria, em ponto de encontro a divulgar após a inscrição.
É mesmo gratuito?
Sim, a entrada é gratuita entre as 10h – 13h, e não é preciso apresentar documentos de identificação.
Como chego lá?
Galeria da Biodiversidade: Rua do Campo Alegre, 1191, 4150-181 Porto – não é o ponto de encontro
Metro: a estação mais próxima é a da Casa da Música, mas fica a 1.9km / 22 minutos a pé.
STCP: Várias linhas param muito perto da GB: 200, 204, 207, 209, 503 e 504.
Procura pelas paragens JB2, JB1, FCUP1 e FCUP2
Carro: Existe algum estacionamento público gratuito na área à volta, mas pode ser difícil encontrar lugar livre.

Como sempre, os nossos meetups estão abertos exclusivamente a mulheres e homens LGB :-)
Quem costuma participar?
Em relação ao sexo, a participação costuma ser metade-metade; o mesmo aplica-se em relação à nacionalidade (portuguesa ou outra). As idades variam entre os 20 e 70. O ambiente é focado na amizade, diversidade e respeito mútuo :-) A linguagem oficial é o inglês.

Nós também! Mas temos todo o gosto em dar-te as boas-vindas e fazer-te companhia… da forma mais tímida que quiseres :-)
O que devo levar?
Máscara (N95 / FFP2 ou superior), e ter pelo menos três doses de vacinação. “Mas e se eu não quiser levar máscara / não acreditar em vacinas?” – claro que a opção é tua, mas não poderás participar neste encontro.

Would you like to experience a mix between a Biology Museum and an art exhibition? Then join us for a visit to the Hall of Biodiversity :-)
Located in the Andresen House, and adjacent to Porto’s Botanical Garden, the HoB is a joint project between the University of Porto’s Museum of Natural History and Science and the Ciência Viva Agency. Open to the public since 2017, the collection was designed by museologist Jorge Wagensberg, who organised each piece as if it were an art installation showcasing biodiversity. You can tour the Hall virtually here.
Where and when
At 10:30 on the 11th of June, near the HoB, at a meeting point that will be provided after signing up.
Is it really free?
Yes, from 10h to 13h. No identification documents required.
How do I get there?
HoB: Rua do Campo Alegre, 1191, 4150-181 Porto – this is not the meeting point
Metro: the nearest station is Casa da Música, but it’s about 1.9km / 1.2mi, or 22 minutes on foot.
STCP: Several lines make a stop close to the Gallery: 200, 204, 207, 209, 503 e 504.
Look for the following stops: JB2, JB1, FCUP1 and FCUP2
Car: There is some free public parking in the surrounding area, but it may be challenging finding a free spot

Who can sign up?
As always, this is a LGB only event :-)
What is the average attendance like?
It’s usually evenly split between both women and men / natives and expats. Age-wise, we have folks from all ages, from 20 to 70! We focus on maintaining a friendly, diverse and respectful environment :-) And yes, the official language is English!
It’s my first time and I’m shy :-(
Why are you assuming we’re not shy either? :D But please don’t worry, you are more than welcome, and the (shy) organizers will make sure you don’t feel isolated – unless you find us boring and tell us to go away :-(
What should I bring?
Please bring a N95/FFP2 mask or above, and be at least triple vaccinated. It’s not necessary to wear a mask at all times, but please keep in mind individual Tripeiros may prefer social distancing. Of course, no one can force you to bring a mask or get a vaccine, but in that case you won’t be able to sign-up for this event :/
