In partnership with the Georgia Association of Code Enforcement (GACE), we are bringing the highly acclaimed COSS training to Albany, Georgia! This 2-day training (8am-5pm) will consist of:

  • Tactical Mindset
  • Fear Management
  • Verbal De-escalation
  • 3 Phases of a Contact
  • Surviving a Violent Encounter


This course is designed for Code Enforcement Officers, Building Inspectors, Fire Inspectors, and Animal Control to help keep them safe. Learn about situational awareness, de-escalation, and indicators to help keep you safe on and off the job. Participants will be emailed the 5 PDF workbooks in advance and receive a hard copy certificate at the conclusion of the training. Earn 16 hours of CEU's for ICC and NACA. Course will be taught by its developer, Lead Instructor Scott Kirshner, who has 30+ years of law enforcement experience.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Mr. Kirshner has worked with numerous municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. He has trained with the FBI SWAT Team – Phoenix Division, Phoenix Police Department, SureFire Institute, Proactive Training Institute, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Pima County Sheriff’s Office, and many other government and private agencies on topics to include: Officer Survival, Active Shooter Intervention, Force-on-Force Training, Shoot House Instructor, Law Enforcement First Responder, Building Clearing, Terrorism, School Violence, Workplace Violence, Flashbang Operator, Tactical Scouting and others. Mr. Kirshner is a member of the National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Association.

Mr. Kirshner has received specialized training on the topics of: Sex Offenders, Domestic Violence Offenders, Mental Health Offenders, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Human Trafficking, Terrorism, Faculty Skills Development, Advanced Faculty Skills Development, and Curriculum and Lesson Plan Development. Mr. Kirshner has a Master of Education in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Business. Scott Kirshner is President and Lead Instructor of Dedicated Threat Solutions LLC.
