About this Event
Curious about our region’s history of soccer? Join two locals, Matt Pentz, a former soccer reporter for The Seattle Times and The Athletic, and Frank MacDonald, historian and executive director for Washington State Legends of Soccer, to hear about the state’s history of the game and what’s changed since the last time the World Cup was played in the United States. The event will take place from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Redmond Senior & Community Center (8703 160th Ave NE). Light snacks and refreshments will be provided, along with prize drawings.
This event, part of the City’s Fútbol for All Speaker Series, is presented in partnership with Amazon and the Port of Seattle. It is a community program designed to celebrate the world’s game and prepare residents for the excitement of World Cup 2026.
