RBN Network event to open the Baton of Hope tour at Village HotelWe’re extremely proud of Sam Southern and the team at Empowerment who have successfully bid to launch the Baton of Hope tour this September in Blackpool.
The Baton of Hope is the UK’s largest suicide prevention initiative, created to spark a national conversation about mental health and suicide. It was founded in 2022 by Mike McCarthy and Steve Phillip, both of whom lost their sons to suicide. Their mission is to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and promote hope and support for those struggling.
The Baton will leave Village Hotel at 8.30am as it sets off for its leg around the Fylde Coast, stopping at multiple destinations and hubs.
But we’d like to invite local businesses and organisations to our breakfast meeting ahead of this to be a part of this movement.
Arrival from 7am, with a 7.30am start.
