About this Event
AI & Productivity for Builders 2026 — New Zealand
You don't need to know everything about AI. You just need to know what's worth your time.
AI & Productivity for Builders 2026 is a full-day, in-person workshop designed specifically for New Zealand's residential building industry — and it's coming to three cities this July.
This isn't a conference. There's no stage filled with tech people telling builders how to run their businesses. It's a practical working day, built around the real challenges builders face, and run by people who understand the industry from the inside.
WHAT THIS DAY IS ABOUT
Running a building business in 2026 means managing more complexity with less margin for error. Costs shift. Timelines compress. Clients expect more. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you're supposed to be across quoting, procurement, site delivery, and administration — all at once.
Better tools exist. Smarter workflows are possible. AI is no longer something on the horizon — it's already being used by builders across Australia and New Zealand to save time, reduce rework, and make better decisions faster.
This workshop brings together four industry partners — Wunderbuild, Vision 2 Estimating, VEO Building Co, and Future Builder — with one shared goal: to help you understand what's actually useful, show you how it works in a real building business, and help you leave the day with a clearer picture of what to do next.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The day is structured to be practical, interactive, and genuinely useful — not a back-to-back slide deck marathon.
You will spend time at your table working through ideas with other builders, reflecting on what applies to your business, and building a one-page Productivity Roadmap that captures your key takeaways, identifies workflow gaps, and gives you clear next steps to take back to your business.
Across the day you will explore:
🔹 How AI tools are being used in building businesses right now — not in theory, but in practice, demonstrated live
🔹 Smarter estimating and pre-construction workflows — how better processes at the quoting stage reduce stress, variations, and cost blowouts downstream
🔹 3D visualisation and client communication — how builders are winning more work and managing client expectations before a slab is poured
🔹 Project delivery and operations — how AI-powered platforms can give you real-time visibility across cost, schedule, procurement, and labour
🔹 The tools worth knowing about in 2026 — and how to evaluate what fits your business without wasting time on things that don't
🔹 Your one-page Productivity Roadmap — built throughout the day, so you leave with a personalised plan rather than a notebook full of notes you'll never open again
WHO THIS IS FOR
This workshop is for residential builders at any stage of the AI and productivity conversation — whether you are already experimenting with tools in your business, curious about where to start, or simply want to understand what's changing and what it means for you.
If you run or manage a residential building business and want to come away from a day with practical clarity — not just inspiration — this is for you.
THE PARTNERS BEHIND THE DAY
Wunderbuild is a cloud-based construction management platform built for residential builders, combining project delivery tools with an AI layer that provides real-time insight, forecasting, and decision support across every project.
Vision 2 Estimating brings AI-powered 3D modelling and visualisation to the pre-construction phase — helping builders and their clients see a project before it's built, win more work at the quote stage, and reduce costly variations.
VEO Building Co provides builder-to-builder credibility on the day. Having used the tools and workflows covered in the workshop inside a live residential building business, VEO brings honest, practical perspective on what works and what doesn't.
Future Builder is a community and education platform dedicated to helping builders build better businesses — covering business systems, AI adoption, and the mindset shifts that separate good builders from great ones.
