Faux Rock Coasters - Frit & Powder Techniques
Explore texture, depth, and earthy color in the Faux Rock Coasters Workshop, a creative fused glass class where students learn to mimic the natural beauty of stone using glass frit and powder. Through layering techniques, you’ll build organic patterns, subtle color variations, and surface textures that resemble natural rock formations—from granite-like speckles to rich, earthy tones. Instruction focuses on thoughtful color combinations, composition, and confident frit and powder application as you design a coordinated set of faux rock coasters. After class, each piece will be kiln-fused to create durable, functional glass coasters.
