Instructor: Kathleen ForneySkill Level: Beginner
This hands-on class guides students through the art of fused glass from start to finish. You will explore the different types of art glass available and develop foundational skills in glass cutting using professional tools — then bring it all together by assembling your very own coral bowl.
The finished piece stands approximately 4″ tall with a width of roughly 10″, making it a striking and substantial work of art. Students will choose from a selection of colored glass to personalize their creation, allowing each bowl to be as unique as its maker.
After class, the pieces will be taken to the instructor’s studio for two kiln firings. The first firing fuses the glass into a single unified piece, while the second shapes it into the flowing, sculptural form of the bowl. Completed bowls will be returned to the Guild within two to three weeks.
All materials are included in the cost of tuition.
