This will make a for a beautiful Mother's Day gift! Glass Fusing is a fascinating media, you can shape it, stack it, weave it or melt it into a puddle! Each student will learn about the glass fusing process in this introductory class. No experience necessary and no glass cutting will be required for this intro level class. This class is suitable for adults, seniors, and teens over 16 years of age. Materials and Tools information below. N95 Mask is recommended for safety.
Each student will complete a 9" Glass Flower Bowl using a frit slurry process and other glass embellishments to create an artistic design on a 9" circle of clear fusible glass. The glass is fired on top of flower shaped molds, which fuses the class components together and slumps the glass into the shape of a flower at the same time. These flower bowls make great pieces for tabletop or wall display.
