What started as Carole Montgomery’s passion project to share the stage with her friends has grown into a groundbreaking comedy movement. So she did something about it.Funny Women of a Certain Age (WOACA) was born to showcase fierce, hilarious, and unapologetically authentic women over 50—women who paved the way for the comedians you see today. In 2019, WOACA shattered expectations when it became Showtime’s highest-rated stand-up premiere of the year. That first special made history, sparking two more Showtime specials that kept audiences laughing and wanting more.
Now, all three Funny Women of a Certain Age specials have been re-released by Comedy Dynamics, bringing this trailblazing comedy series back to the forefront where it belongs. With a rotating cast of powerhouse performers, WOACA proves that comedy doesn’t have an expiration date—it just gets sharper, bolder, and funnier with age.
These women aren’t just comedians—they’re legends, survivors, and game-changers. And they’ve got a hell of a lot more to say.
