Funny in a Good Way is excited to announce its seventh annual event in celebration of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, taking place on January 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The event, offers up “An Evening of Laughter & Praise”, and will feature an unforgettable evening of comedy, music, and community spirit, with a special performance by Bob Cates, the national award-winning comedian known for his Comedy in Motion show.The event marks the continuation of a 120+ year tradition of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a time when Christian communities across the world come together in prayer and fellowship. For the past six years, the Funny in a Good Way event has been a vibrant way to celebrate this tradition, and the 2025 event garnered national attention from the Canadian Council of Churches for its unique and impactful approach to uniting the community.
The 2026 edition promises to be just as impactful, with GATE47, a local worship band renowned for their energetic and heartfelt music, also gracing the stage. The event will include the beloved tradition of a light-hearted skit by local clergy, working together to bring joy and laughter to the audience. Additionally, the comedic talents of Rob McKenzie will be on full display as he shares his comedic escapades with the crowd.
