Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) provides the practical knowledge and skills to support to a person experiencing a mental health issue.
About this Event

Algonquin College's Pembroke Campus is hosting a two-day Mental Health First Aid Course that provides the practical knowledge and skills to support to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being, or a mental health or substance use crisis until professional help is available. This training is facilitated by a Mental Health Commission of Canada qualified instructor. This is an excellent opportunity for local organizations or for members of the public!

Participants must commit to two full days of training in order to receive their certification. The course will be held at Algonquin College's Pembroke Campus on Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Daily Schedule

  • 8:00am Arrive on Campus
  • 8:30am-4:00pm Training

(lunch and breaks will be provided at a time identified by the facilitator)


The cost of certification is $228.80 per person + tax + Eventbrite fees.

Paid Parking is availiable on campus through the HONK mobile app.
