FIRST EVER SOLO EXHIBITION OPENINGFunk Up My Junk is proud to announce its very first solo artist exhibition — and you are invited.
Join us for the opening evening on Saturday 4th July from 5–7pm at Crafty Bakers, Titirangi, and experience how discarded wood can be transformed into striking, one-of-a-kind artworks.
Behind Funk Up Junk is artist Buffie Mawhinney — a true talent in transforming reclaimed wood into something special. With skills and knowledge passed down through generations of woodworkers and makers in her family, Buffie has spent decades creating handcrafted pieces filled with character, warmth, and story.
Using rescued timber, off-cuts, and materials once destined for landfill or the fire, she gives wood a second life with incredible care and craftsmanship. From tiny handcrafted pots to full bed frames, every piece is unique.
Featuring rich warm colours, unique grain patterns, and handcrafted designs full of character, this exhibition is all about seeing beauty where others see waste.
Come check out the range and discover art that will make you stop, stare, and say “wowwww”.
Bring your friends and whānau and come support local creativity, sustainability, and original art with soul.
