This month, The Funk Monks are servin’ up Southern Fried Funk — a deep, down-home salute to the blues-soaked, gospel-raised soul that rolled straight out of the American South and into music history.

We’re talking James Brown grit. Tina Turner fire. Sam & Dave swagger. Otis Redding heartbreak. Aretha Franklin glory. The kind of songs that testify, sweat, and shake the walls.

The Funk Monks don’t just play these classics — they cook them.
Thick basslines. Hammond organ heat. Tight pocket drums. Church-trained harmonies that rise up and bring the room with them. It’s greasy, it’s joyful, it’s impossible to sit still through.
