Jefe
When it comes down to high energy, bouncy beats, and unique sound, Jeremy Katziff, aka Jefe ain’t new to the scene. Jeremy started music from the early age of 4 years old, picking up how to play notes by ear on a piano. He then picked up his first guitar shortly after, first learning the basics; layout of the strings, full chords, and power chords. From then on, the rest was history. He played jazz bass in high school, so having a background in jazz theory and west coast-style hip hop/trap instrumentals, along with the heart of a raver, Jefe gives bass music a whole new flavor. Although he’s evolved from heavy, face-melting brostep into modern roots 140 dubstep, make no mistake that the bass face is still constant. Jeremy has been on lineups for names like Dublink, Izzy Vadim, Infekt, and one of the first dubstep artists he started listening to, Modestep, as well as local American shows with Dirt Sounds, Old Ghost Crew, and GridLife, along with a feature on the UK-based radio station Sub.FM. Keep Jefe on your watchlist because this is just the beginning.
