Who is Gloria Ware?
Gloria Ware is a visionary leader in economic justice whose work is rooted in purpose, community, and possibility. For more than three decades, she has built pathways to economic empowerment by redefining systems never designed with Black women in mind. Through principled leadership, relationship-building, and unapologetic truth-telling, Gloria has helped raise over $8 million in funding and generate $10 million in revenue for entrepreneurs. Her impact extends far beyond dollars—she offers people a clearer vision of who they can become and the confidence to pursue it. Grounded in the belief that challenges are teachers, not barriers, Gloria transforms adversity into fuel for action and lasting change.
A master connector and trusted advisor, Gloria believes true power lies in people and the ecosystems they build together. Her intuitive, generous leadership has strengthened countless initiatives, including Sisters of Economic Action, where she has shared her network, provided strategic advising, and championed the organization’s mission. Gloria practices sisterhood as a strategy—showing up with integrity, advocating even when it’s hard, and staying in community through complexity. Her work reminds us that collective wealth, accountability, and care are not ideals, but practices—and that meaningful change begins when we act with purpose, not perfection.
