Fundraiser Lunch for Angelina Napolitano Sunday, November 23, 2025, Cozy Grape Wine Bar & Bistro is hosting a fundraiser for a special person. Angelina Napolitano is in need of a liver transplant. She is 11 years old. Her Mother, Angie and Father Jim are family friends. Her father is well known in the community, as he has been active in law enforcement at both the Local and Federal Level.
Please consider donating $$ or an item for a silent auction or attending our Lunch fundraiser or both or all three. We are having three seatings 11 am, 11:45 am and 12:30 pm. The cost is $50 per person.
The menu is as follows: Chopped Salad, Boneless Shortribs with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus OR Grouper over Parmesan Risotto with Vegetables Topped with a White Wine Cream Sauce, dessert is Petite Lavender Creme Brulee and includes a glass of Red or White Wine.
We hope to have a silent auction IF we can generate enough silent auction items. 100% of the proceeds from the lunch will be donated to COTA. The Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bloomington, Indiana, that helps children and young adults who need a life-saving organ transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support.
COTA was founded in Bloomington, Indiana, in 1986 and has assisted over 2,200 families with over $75 million (U.S.) raised since that time. Approximately 200 families per year receive assistance annually through COTA.[5] COTA is the only organization of its type that charges no fee for its services and which insures that 100% of all funds donated to transplant-related expenses are used exclusively for that purpose.
A liver transplant in the US typically runs $500,000–$800,000 or more, including surgery, hospital stays (often 1–4 weeks), organ procurement (up to $75,000), and follow-up care like immunosuppressant drugs (which can add $2,500-$10,000/month lifelong). Insurance which covers many but not all expenses often leaves out-of-pocket gaps for travel, lost wages, housing near the transplant center, or medsβ€”easily $50,000–$100,000. Fundraising can bridge that, and starting early (before the transplant if possible) gives you the best shot.
Please consider helping this extremely worthwhile event and help a young child that desperately needs an organ transplant.
