The Landing is once again hosting a fundraiser to support the people of Ukraine, commemorating the 4th anniversary of the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022. The event on Sunday, March 29, and organized by Ukrainian native and Luther College Professor of Anthropology Maryna B. Nading and her husband Scott, will feature:
• A simple Ukrainian meal of a smoked Ukrainian-style brat in a bun from Kramarzcuk’s Sausage Co. in Minneapolis and potato salad for $15. Over-and-above contributions are welcome. The meal will be served @ Justin’s from 11 am-7pm or until gone.
• Ukrainian Easter egg (Pysanky) painting workshops led by local master Pysanka artist Sara Kuboushek. Workshops will be offered at noon and 4 pm. All materials are provided. Suggested donation is $20. Space is limited to 20 people per workshop, and registration is required: https://forms.gle/NQDkaDYq7tRGPeWT6
• Ukrainian Easter Bread (Paska) available for purchase. Quantity limited.
• Silent auction of premium items from Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains as well as smaller souvenirs for freewill donation.
All proceeds will benefit Ukrainian volunteers who support people on the frontlines.
