Isaak is going to Germany this summer on a missionary trip. This fund raiser is to help him cover travel and living expenses. There will be a silent auction, a split the pot raffle, live music by Das ist Lustig, a Masskrugstemmen contest, live band bingo, a chance to dance with Isaak (he can polka and waltz too!) and a performance by the Kinder Tanzer! It is a full day of fun. Guadalupe Brewing has food available for sale, and of course, excellent brews too. Make memories with your loved ones while contributing to a great cause. Isaak's Mission Statement:
"My name is Isaak Wolfshohl. I am currently a student at Berean Bible Institute and am pursuing a degree in ministry with a focus on missionary work. During high school, I was part of a foreign exchange, in which I was exposed to the spiritual need of Leipzig and wider eastern Germany.
From July 1st-July 31st I will be going on a mission trip to Leipzig, which lies in former East Germany. Due to intense anti-christian policies of the GDR regime from 1949-1991, the christian population was devastated - an effect still felt today. Leipzig, with a population of 600,000, is only 4-6% Christian. A significant shift has been occurring with many, particularly young people, taking an interest in Christianity. Their biggest need is simply someone to talk to about Jesus Christ.
During my time in Leipzig, I will be working with the Bahnhofsmission. A christian organization that aids travelers. The Leipziger branch also engages heavily with the homeless population of the city. I will also be volunteering with the Ev.-luth.
Kirchgemeinde im Leipziger Süden, a collection of churches in the southern part of the city. This work will focus on evangelism and community outreach with the church congregations. I also plan on engaging in street evangelism as well.
