About this Event
NASA has had an astronaut training program for over 65 years, beginning in April 1959 with the selection of the "Mercury Seven," the first group of American astronauts. Since then, the training program has evolved. The program doesn't just focus on test pilots. It has expanded to training a diverse crew of scientists, engineers, and mission specialists.
From weightlessness to deep-sea dives, science experiments to tools, we will explore what it takes to be one of the 370 people that has been selected to serve as an astronaut for NASA.
