NOW FULLY BOOKED. SEE ALTERNATIVE DATE ON 10 MAY Join us in the early morning to enjoy the waking of our wildlife areas, in this carefully led Nature Walk.
Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is an official Conservation Zone, a member of the English Woodland Scheme and hosts no less than 13 separate areas operated under the Natural England Entry and Higher Level Stewardship Schemes. It is home to 23 rare bird species and a wonderful range of flora and fauna.
Now, visitors have the opportunity to share a magical time, usually only reserved for the team that care for this treasured location - they can be there when the ecology wakes.
Join us for this specially planned and curated Nature Walk as the Sun crests over a skyline barely changed since 1917 and as the Dawn Chorus resounds.
After an invigorating and pleasing spell in our wildlife areas, not usually accessible, you can repair to the 1917 atmosphere of The Airmen's Mess café for your choice of Breakfast and hot drinks.
Cost: Walk and hot drink, £15; Walk, hot drink and breakfast baguette, £20; Walk, drink and English breakfast, £25 (online booking fee applies).
If you wish, you can remain in The Airmen's Mess until the Museum opens to the public at 10am, then enjoy exploring the aircraft hangars and exhibitions.
