This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about disaster preparedness and gain the crucial skills to help your family and your community in the event of an emergency.
Trainings will be held on the following dates:

IMPORTANT - All participants must attend all sessions in order to graduate the NERT program. Makeup sessions are provided in San Francisco. If you sign up for the first class, you have signed up for all of them.
NERT is a free training program for individuals, neighborhood groups and community-based organizations in San Francisco. Through this program, individuals will learn the basics of personal preparedness and prevention. The training also includes hands-on disaster skills that will help individuals respond to a personal emergency as well as act as members of a neighborhood response team.
All trainings will be held at the Sherry Williams Community Center on Treasure Island. 850 Ave I, San Francisco, CA 94130. The building is behind the SFFD and next door to the YMCA.
Full NERT Training Course Outline:
Class 1: Earthquake Awareness, Preparedness, and Hazard Mitigation
Class 2: Hazardous Materials/Terrorism Awareness, Utility Shut-off
Class 3: Disaster Medicine
Class 4: Light Search and Rescue
Class 5: Emergency Team Organization & Disaster Psychology
Class 6: Hands-On Skills Application, Course Review, and Graduation
**Breakfast and lunch provided for participants.
**The will be no childcare provided during these trainings.
