About this Event
There’s something unforgettable about walking beneath a full moon. The forest feels alive, the air shifts, and the trails take on a quiet magic.
Join our Mountain Trail Outdoor School educators for a guided evening adventure along Kanuga’s forested trails as dusk fades and May’s full moon rises over the Blue Ridge Mountains. With experienced outdoor educators leading the way, you’ll explore safely while discovering the rhythms of the nighttime ecosystem — listening for nocturnal wildlife, noticing how your senses sharpen, and witnessing the forest transformed by moonlight.
May’s full moon is traditionally known as the Flower Moon, named for the abundance of blossoms and plant life that emerge this time of year. Celebrated for centuries as a symbol of growth and renewal, this luminous orb casts a soft, enchanting light — a perfect backdrop for a night under the stars.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Hendersonville, Kanuga Conference Center offers miles of wooded trails and scenic vistas that feel especially extraordinary after dark.
Come solo for quiet reflection, bring a friend for a magical night out, or gather your people for a meaningful mountain experience.
Reserve your spot and step into the moonlight with us.
