It is several years since the group last visited Venford, but it is a good site for both moorland and woodland birds. We will walk along the path below the reservoir which takes us through woods where we will look for flycatchers and warblers. Weather permitting, we can eat our lunch at the top of Bench Tor before returning via the reservoir. NB. this walk is more strenuous than average, and some of the paths are rocky and uneven.Price: £3 for non-members, free for paid-up members of RSPB Exeter local group.
Meet at 9.30 am in the car park on north side of the dam (SX686713, TQ13 7SS).
Bring and carry packed lunch. Toilets by car park. Please bring binoculars with you if you have them, and wear walking boots and appropriate clothing for the weather.
