About this Event
Join AFP New Jersey for the 2026 Whitley Lecture, an energizing morning conversation on how technology, data, and human connection are reshaping the future of fundraising.
This year’s program, Fueling the Future of Fundraising, brings together two leaders from Avid who are helping nonprofits rethink how generosity grows in the digital age.
Nathan Hill, Vice President of Training at Avid, has spent his career helping nonprofit organizations turn data into strategy. Having trained and certified thousands of fundraisers from organizations including PBS, Save the Children, and The Humane Society, Nathan specializes in helping teams use optimization and analytics to drive measurable growth in giving.
Joining him is Erik Tomalis, Avid’s Chief Revenue Officer and a seasoned fundraising professional with more than two decades of experience and over 5,000 face-to-face donor solicitations. Erik brings a deep understanding of donor relationships, major giving, and revenue strategy, grounded in the belief that philanthropy is built on authentic human connection—not transactions.
Together, Nathan and Erik will explore how AI, data intelligence, and relationship-driven fundraising strategies are converging to create new opportunities for nonprofits to deepen donor engagement and unlock greater generosity.
Whether you are a seasoned fundraiser, nonprofit executive, or emerging professional, this session will provide valuable insights into the tools, trends, and mindsets shaping the next generation of philanthropy.
