Passion...Movement...Fiery zapateo. Celebrate 20 years of Fuego Flamenco with Edwin Aparicio, the Festival’s co-founder. "Lo mejor de Edwin" is a stunning showcase of his most powerful choreographies, featuring highlights from 'Salvador' (2016), 'Flamenco Extranjero' (2017), and 'Enredo' (2023) with artists from Spain and the U.S.
The show includes principal dancers Edwin Aparicio, Norberto Chamizo of Madrid, Spain, and Jonathan Pacheco, courtesy of Ensemble Español of Chicago; Company dancers Cosima Amelang, Mariana Gatto Durán, Catherina Irwin, Sara Jerez-Marlow, Dana Shoenberg, and Kyoko Terada; singer Amparo Heredia “La Repompilla;” singer and percussionist Francisco Orozco “Yiyi,” composer and guitarist Ricardo Marlow, and multi Grammy nominee composer Gonzalo Grau, also on keyboard.
Performances: Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, Sunday at 2 pm.
Tickets: $50 each for Saturday and Sunday, and $55 for Noche de GALA on Friday (includes a post-performance reception with the artists).
