Fuego Fest is blazing into town for the very first time, and we're turning up the heat with a one-of-a-kind festival dedicated to everything spicy, everything flavorful, and everything fuego!
Hosted at the legendary Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo Fairgrounds in Mercedes, Texas, this high-energy celebration will ignite your senses with a full day of live music, mouth-watering food, fiery competitions, and an atmosphere hotter than a Texas summer.

Are you brave enough to face the fire?
Step up and take the ultimate pepper challenge — from jalapeños to habaneros and beyond — with the last one standing crowned the "Fuego King" (or Queen!)
🔥 Hot Sauce Making Competition
Calling all sauce masters and spice alchemists!
Show off your skills in our Hot Sauce Making Competition, where you'll be judged on:
Spice Level (bring the heat!)
Taste (flavor is king!)
Creativity (unique ingredients and bold combinations encouraged!)
Winners take home trophies, bragging rights, and some seriously spicy street cred.
🌮 Fire in the Belly Taco Challenge
Think you can handle the heat?
Contestants will battle it out to see who can eat the most spicy tacos within a set time limit. It's fast. It's fiery. It's gloriously messy.
