About this Event
About this event
Listening in Community is a gentle gathering centered on sound, presence, and collective belonging. This is a music listening session that invites participants to slow down, tune in, and be held by music and community.
Through mindful listening, quiet reflection, and optional sharing, we’ll explore how sound can support a deeper connection to ourselves and to one another.
There will be activities to do whilst listening, like henna, drawing, and journaling. A light vegan dinner will also be provided.
Whether you come to rest, reflect, or simply be alongside others, you are welcome here. Come with curiosity and care :)
Please arrive on time for the full experience.
Participants are encouraged to read the Exhale Community Agreement before the first session, which will be emailed in advance. This outlines shared values around respect, confidentiality, and collective care.

About Listen Gallery
The event is being held at Listen Gallery - a non-profit sound arts gallery and communal listening space based in Glasgow. We are intentionally hosting the event here, as the only Global Majority-led arts space in the country which is also unfunded, relying mostly on volunteer labour.
As an organisation led by Global Majority perspectives, love and hospitality are foundational to their practice. The name LISTEN: Love Is Serving The Ears Now, reflects these values and informs every aspect of their work. We ask that in this space you acknowledge the labour, effort and love that goes into Listen and respect this.
It is a wheelchair accessible venue, with soft lighting, and prayer space available. Full access details can be found here - Listen Gallery
About For us, By us (FuBu)
For Us, By Us is a nine-month project running from September 2025 - April 2026. The project aims to strengthen our community’s resilience by developing the skills and capacity for community leadership.
As part of this, over the past few months Exhale has been working with 6 people from the community, providing them with training and support to co-create and deliver a programme of free events for the QTIPoC+ community, running from January - April 2026.
This event has been organised and will be delivered by one of the participants of this project. This will be the first event they have fully organised and delivered alone so we ask that you bring your patience, trust and openness.
Thank you to the GCVS Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for funding this project.
