Brazilian Zouk Workshop: 6:30-7:30

Embodiment and Leading the Lead:
In this lab-style, experiential, and activity-based workshop, we unlock your ability to embody different elements in your dance, be that a feeling, a texture, an emotion, an element, or even a color! We will also dive into the experience of followers guiding their lead through common zouk pathways of movement, so leads can better understand their followers voice and the way her particular body moves
Social: 7:30-10:30
We will start with a more energetic set for the first half of the night, and then slip into some gooey-trancy bliss for the second set. Sets will be purchased pre-recorded sets from world-famous Zouk DJs and will play a variety of genres you may not often hear in the east coast zouk world
***Level Requirements: for this workshop, students should be comfortable executing Brazilian Zouk fundamentals such as Basico, Bonus, Simple Turn, Lateral, Viradinha, and Soltinho. Knowledge of headmovements is not required. *If you are not sure about your levels fit for this workshop, please reach out to an instructor***
Tickets: $15 workshop only, $20 social only, or $30 for both
