The Fort Worth Liberty Leadership Council* invites young professionals for a compelling evening of networking and conversation on one of Texas’s most urgent challenges: border security.
While federal data suggests a decline in illegal crossings, experts warn against complacency as threats remain. Featured speaker , Senior Fellow for the Secure & Sovereign Texas campaign at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, will discuss the growing influence of cartels inside our borders, the true condition of Mexico as a state actor, and whether Texas has the constitutional tools to defend itself. Together, we'll examine proposals such as reconstituting the Texas State Guard as a true homeland defense and disaster response force and a Texas Immigration Enforcement Division with independent authority to arrest, detain, and remove.
