Showcases are for displaying special choreographed exhibition routines the student and teacher have been working on for up to six months. It allows the student to concentrate and perfect a particular dance or dances often beyond the school figures and variations on their Medalist Program. Showcase routines are good for the student and help them become more confident in their dancing at a rapid pace.
Showcases are usually formal affairs, either held in school or at a local hotel ballroom. A Certified Examiner(Judge) may critique the routines. The critiques assist the teachers in future development and planning of the students' programs.
