Arts Advocacy: Discussion Panel & Social Event
A SPECIAL CREATE WHAT YOU CRAVE INSPIRATION SESSION ON THE SECOND SATURDAY IN SEPTEMBER
Join us at our next Inspiration Session on the topic of ARTS ADVOCACY:
Saturday, September 13 | 4-6 PM at Inner Circle Gallery
This timely panel brings together influential voices in Indiana’s creative sector to explore the power of the arts in shaping culture, building community, economic development, and more.
The discussion will explore key questions:
- What is the real impact of the arts on society?
- How can creativity become part of daily civic life—not just one-off events?
- In what ways can individuals, communities, and organizations work together to advocate for the arts?
The evening includes a live panel conversation with local creatives + community leaders:
- Monty Matuka, Founder & Creative Director of MELI: MORE EQUALITY LESS IGNORANCE, Sophisticated Streetwear, Cross-cultural Connections
- Nancy Heck, Former Director of Community Relations & Economic Development for the City of Carmel
- Moderated by Anne O'Brien, community builder, communications strategist and founder of Create What You Crave
The event will also include:
- Live music
- Light bites & drinks
Come ready for good conversation, new connections, and a reminder that creativity belongs to all of us — and it just might change the way we care for ourselves and each other.
Funds raised from ticketing will go to cover the costs of the event and allow us to produce future events to grow our community offerings. Create What You Crave is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
