Overview:
Join ACADIA and Feminist Spatial Practices for an innovative workshop exploring the intersection of worldbuilding, artificial intelligence, and feminist approaches to architecture. Worldbuilding, typically used in science fiction and fantasy, involves creating detailed fictional worlds. In this workshop, we'll apply this concept to architecture, using AI tools to imagine and visualize new feminist spatial practices.
Participants will learn to:
- Understand worldbuilding concepts and their application to architecture
- Use AI tools, including large language models and text-to-image software, for creative design
- Explore how AI can help envision feminist approaches to spatial design
No prior experience in worldbuilding or AI is required. Participants are welcome to work with any AI tools they're familiar with or explore new ones during the workshop.

The workshop will use a suite of open-access AI image generation tools. A list of recommended tools will be provided to participants before the workshop.
