About this Event
Figure Skating in Detroit (FSD) is the only out of school time program model in the world for girls of color (ages 6 to 18) that combines the life-transforming power of a science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) STEAM education with access to the artistic, highly technical and rigorous discipline of figure skating. FSD utilizes a creative and practical approach to STEAM that ignites our program participants' interest in science and technology through the lens of figure skating.
The March 15th event is designed to create and expand awareness of the many career and professional pathways available via a STEAM education.
