dublon | Birdnote | g-HA & Olanskii | Øyvind MorkenAt the confluence of House and Jazz a sound exists that continues to push the dance floor into uncharted territories.. Artists like Nathan Haines, Moses Boyd, Tony Allen, Jeff Mills and closer to home Bugge Wesseltoft have all shaped their own fusion between these genres and the latest to join their ranks is Norwegian up-and-comer dublon. The Norwegian native and Ninja Tune affiliate makes his debut at Jaeger and has invited Birdnote to join him as they take over one floor of Jaeger while Frædag’s g-HA & Olanksii host another.

dublon
Emerging from the serene Norwegian landscape, dublon is a major player in the recent jazz house explosion. His sounds blend intricate instrumentation with driving house rhythms, conjuring images of dimly-lit wine bars and long summer nights. Having collected over 50 millions streams, and with a European tour culminating in a Jazz Cafe headline show, dublon is now bringing his sounds into the very clubs he’s been so inspired by.
Birdnote
A new side-project from Funkin’ Matt, Birdnote bridgies the fine line between jazz and house. Working with the likes of Kristoffer Eikrem and Kjetil Jerve Birdnote has already amassed a prolific output and DJs regularly around Oslo.
g-HA & Olanskii
Two pivotal bodies in the sphere of Norwegian electronic music, g-HA & Olanskii are an event, a club, a DJ duo, and a musical authority for Norway. Individually adept as DJ, selectors and tastemaker, Ola “Olanskii” Smith-Simonsen and Geir “g-HA” Holger’s musical voices unified for Sunkissed, an events series that has become the backbone of Oslo’s electronic music scene and beyond.
Øyvind Morken
Oslo`s Øyvind Morken (pronounced Oy-vind) has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. For the last nine years he has held down a residency at Jaeger. Eight of them weekly under the Untzdag banner, a wordplay for Onsdag, Norwegian for Wednesday. It became an institution in Oslo. Drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression was encouraged.
