Coming this March, NBHS presents the Broadway musical version of Disney’s beloved film, "Frozen". With Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez & Kristin Anderson-Lopez famous for writing songs and full scores for "Avenue Q", "The Book of Mormon", "Frozen 2", "Coco", “WandaVision” & "Central Park" and a book by Jennifer Lee, who wrote and co-Directed the original movie. "Frozen" will be performed on March 27th at 7pm and March 28th at 2pm & 7pm in the NBHS Auditorium.
The show follows the story of Princess Elsa & Princess Anna of Arendelle. Elsa’s inability to control her wintery powers on the day of her Coronation causes major problems for the Kingdom. After Elsa flees to the icy North Mountain, Anna goes to bring her back, assisted by Kristoff, an ice harvester, and his reindeer, Sven, leaving her fiancé, Prince Hans (who she has just met… what? Is that a problem??) in charge of Arendelle until she returns. Through all their trials, the princesses discover that only the power of true love can tame the icy curse and return the kingdom and its princesses to the way things ought to be.
“Frozen” features Haylee Rivera and Analia Altiery as Elsa and Anna. Joining in the fun are Samuel Petrisko (Kristoff), Jeremii Hairston (Prince Hans), Ayden Zayas (Olaf), Daniel Mosakowski (King Agnarr/Oaken), Katelynn Shields (Queen Iduna/Hidden Folk) and many other NBHS student actors, singers and dancers bringing these classic Disney characters to life.
Directed and Music Directed by Jason Nicolo Ferrandino (New Britain), with Choreography by Christine Kuzia (Plainville), Technical Direction by Robert Smedley (New Britain) and Matthew Sbalcio (Rocky Hill) conducting, the show also features a large ensemble of singers and dancers from New Britain High School.
