The Charlotte Street Arts Centre:
The Charlotte Street Arts Centre will feature two exhibitions during this winter’s Gallery Hop. Black & Red is the first exhibit of work by the LINOCULT, a collective of Fredericton-based printmakers. Formed in 2025, the group is dedicated to creating handmade art in an increasingly AI-cheapened and digitally-derived world. Black & Red will feature prints by Andrew Robinson (Monografik), Hayley Monroe, Anne Stillwell (Ridge Works Studio), Graeme Kennedy, H. Molyneaux, David Brewer (Rabbittown Press), Janelle LeBlanc, Stefan Westner and Max Baird. This exhibition will be displayed on the first floor Penny Gallery annex. The Charlotte Glencross Gallery will feature an exhibition of work by members of the Fredericton Society of Artists.
Stop by to enjoy this broad selection of locally made art. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. More information to come!
The Artisan District:
Drop by The Artisan District where you’ll see @eereen_artist create tiny Vytynanka cut-outs in real time while learning about this traditional Ukrainian paper-cutting technique. Guests are invited to choose an original, artist-made cut-out to take home as a keepsake.
@openyourart will also be on site to give you a pottery demo of what you can experience at their “open studio” on Thursday nights! Artists will be available to answer questions while painting pieces – which we will draw for at the end of the night.
We will be serving FROSTival meringues from @tobemilktea as a sweet treat!
Beaverbrook Boutique/ Harrison McCain Pavilion
The Beaverbrook Boutique is delighted to host fine craft artist Holly Brown Bear of Muwin Made, featuring her stunning hand-beaded earrings and purses. Local author Paul McAllister of Monster House Publishing will also be in-store with a pop-up showcasing local and Atlantic Canadian titles.
Enjoy samples from Duck Duck Coffee Roasters, serving their locally roasted coffee, with bags available for purchase. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided.
The Open Studio provides activities for creative exploration and reflection, such as drawing, painting, Lino block printing, collage making, textile art, and more. A bilingual facilitator will be present to offer creative support, guidance, advice, and materials.
