In the waters in front of the last Whaling Station in the country to close (1978), Albany’s outer harbour (King George Sound/Mamang Koort), now hosts Australia’s only wave energy prototype – the M4. Explore how harnessing clean energy from ocean waves can reinstate Albany as Australia’s energy capital and protect our coastlines (prepare to get your hands wet).
No pre-booking required, simply join in on the activity anytime between 10am to 2pm on the dates listed, it is included as part of your Historic Whaling Station admission. Children under 15 years must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
