From Warsaw to Wishaw

The world famous polish composer Chopin visited Scotland in the early part of Octo­ber 1848, and became the guest of Lord and Lady Bel­haven at Wishaw House. Guest speaker Gerry Carr explores the chain of events leading to Chopins, fascinating visit to the grand houses of central Scotland. Cel­eb­rat­ing Chopin’s time in Scot­land and the deep cul­tural ties between our two nations. Some of the music that Chopin played in Scotland will be used tell the story.
